Dr Sarah Fidler
Dr Sarah Fidler FRCP sits on the Foundation's board of trustees. She is an immunologist, researcher and professor in HIV Medicine at Imperial College London and consultant physician in HIV for St Mary's Hospital, London, with a BSc and PhD in immunology, her MBBS and FRCP in general medicine, and CCST in GUM and HIV academic research studies.
Her clinical work involves looking after people who have just been infected with HIV, and testing new approaches towards curing HIV. Sarah was co-Principal Investigator of HPTN 071 (PopART), the largest community-based, randomized study evaluating the impact of a combination HIV prevention package on HIV incidence, conducted across 21 settings in South Africa and Zambia. Dr Sarah joined the Foundation's board in 2020.
