Victoria Marks
Vicki started working with The SHM Foundation in 2014 to provide creative and event management support for Snapshot Songs that was an ambitious new performance celebrating London’s zeitgeist. The performance at the Barbican featured 150 performers who attended workshops and auditions across London. Vicki continues to provide support to the arts initiatives at The SHM Foundation – she is currently working on an ambitious project to make classical music more accessible to the wider public by finding new ways for them to express their experiences of listening to classical music. Vicki is also part of the team managing the upcoming festival Icon of Freedom at Bargehouse, Oxo Tower. Icon of Freedom will be celebrating the life of the great Mexican woman writer and thinker, Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz.
Vicki studied Performance Design at the University of Leeds, where she specialised in theoretical sound design, drawing on her interest in sensory perception and, in particular, synesthesia.
